Please join us on Sunday, May 22 at 4 pm at GOAT Training in Edwards, Colorado, as we participate in the 2nd Annual Bubba Memorial Workout in remembrance of Combat Controller Chris Rush.
Amy Reynolds is organizing a fundraiser to benefit First There Foundation Inc. See the link below to learn more.
We lost Chris to suicide on April 21, 2020, and we are committed to keeping his memory alive by honoring him on what would have been his 43rd birthday. To his family he was affectionately known as “Bubba”, and to his teammates, he was comically known as “AZ”. Eric Hohman is one of those teammates and he has founded First There Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to ensure all Combat Controllers have a teammate to reach out to when life becomes difficult. Their goals are to eradicate suicide among teammates and restore self-confidence, purpose and self-esteem. They connect Combat Controllers to Mental Health, Financial, Career, and Substance Abuse Providers.
To honor “AZ”, we’re also getting ready to release a memorial workout shirt to celebrate and remember Chris “AZ” Rush. We will post when the shirts are ready to order!
Below is a mockup of the graphics. We’ll offer a small variety of colors in all sizes.

Please see the links below for more information about the good work the First There Foundation is doing and the important role Combat Controllers play in the Special Operations Community.
